My name is Michael Faulkner, founder of Swift Electrical Repair.

For more than 25 years, I’ve dedicated my career to the electrical trade. I started where many electricians do—as an apprentice—learning the fundamentals of the craft one job at a time.

Over the years, I worked my way through nearly every level of the industry: apprentice, technician, leader, manager, and eventually into an executive role with a nationally recognized electrical service company.

Those 25 years taught me more than electrical systems.

They taught me that trust is earned.

That quality matters.

And that the customer experience is just as important as the work itself.

I remain grateful for the opportunities I had throughout my career and for the people who helped shape me as a leader. Working for a large organization provided invaluable experience and allowed me to serve homeowners across many communities.

But as companies grow, priorities naturally evolve.

Larger organizations often face increasing overhead, more complex structures, and the responsibility of balancing the expectations of many stakeholders. While growth brings many advantages, I felt a pull back to the values that first drew me to this trade.

I missed the personal connection.

I missed knowing my customers by name.

I missed having the freedom to spend the extra time needed to create an exceptional experience instead of simply moving to the next call.

I wanted to build a company where quality comes before volume, where relationships matter, and where every customer receives the kind of service I’d want for my own family.

And family is exactly what Swift Electrical Repair is built on.

As my children became teenagers and began thinking about their futures, I started thinking more deeply about mine. One of the biggest reasons I stepped away from corporate leadership was the opportunity to spend more time with my family and work alongside my son, Michael Shane, who is excited to learn a skilled trade.

I didn’t want to simply teach him the values that have guided me throughout my career—hard work, integrity, craftsmanship, and taking pride in serving others.

I wanted to live them beside him.

But we couldn’t do this without my wife, Heather.

Heather is the heart of our family and the steady hand behind our business.

We’ve been sweethearts since we were teenagers. Together, we’ve worked every day to build the life we have today, and along the way we’ve learned that life brings challenges, setbacks, and moments that test your character.

Through it all, we’ve remained committed to each other, our family, and the values we believe in: honesty, hard work, and keeping your word.

That same commitment is the promise we make to every customer who hires us.

Our daughters, Hannah and Emily, are both in college and play an important role in keeping our family business connected to new ideas, technology, and exciting trends in the marketplace.
